A Message from Bristol Valley Theateer

Apr 01st, 2020

We're In This Together

Hello Friends,

Hope this finds each of you sheltered safely. In this extraordinary time, we thank you for making the sacrifice of staying home and keeping your neighbors and your community safe. In accordance with the governor’s guidelines, our BVT staff is working from home for now.

Staying home is certainly not in our nature. We are in our element when we can gather with you and light up your nights with music or laughter, or provoke a sigh or a gasp or even a tear. We gather our strength from the strength of our audience. So this is new territory indeed.

We were sorry to have to postpone our planned Swing into Spring series, including the presentation of The Rudely Stamp’d Theater’s “Now We Stand Together Always, “ an evening of the music of the Beatles performed by our favorites Sam Sherwood and Aaron Lipp, and a collaboration with the Naples Historical Society on a play written in the 1920’s by Naples native Gilbert Emery.

If you have purchased a ticket to any of our postponed spring events, we can hold your ticket until such time as the event can be rescheduled, or we will happily refund your ticket price. Or we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider making that ticket purchase a donation to Bristol Valley Theater, as we continue to meet the challenge of covering operating expenses while our doors must remain closed. Please email me at kbowersock@bvtnaples.org to let me know how you’d like to proceed. Once we are able to return to the office, we will take steps to honor your wishes.

We are also canceling our spring session of Acting for Kids classes, though we will reach out to students to organize some fun online meetups!

We are hopeful that soon it will be safe to gather again to bring light and music and magic back to our stage and to your lives. To celebrate and share the talents of our community of artists with you, the community from whom we draw our strength. We continue to move forward with all the plans for our summer 2020 season, and we are going to be SO READY to share it with you!

(If you don’t have your subscription or your summer tickets yet, you can help us through this time by making a purchase of a ticket, subscription or gift certificate, or making a donation. Just visit our website www.bvtnaples.org.)

Until we meet again, we hope that you stay safe, stay healthy, and keep supporting those around you. We are all in this together. Our collective strength will see us through.

Stay inside. Save the world.
