SKANEATELES, N.Y. – Nov. 20, 2013 – It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and hotel guests and local visitors of Mirbeau Inn & Spa can take comfort in holiday traditions with the return of the award-winning inn’s annual A Dinner with Dickens & Friends on Thursday, Dec. 12 and 19. Open to the public, the fun-filled festive evenings will feature costumed characters performing a live rendition of the Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, presented by Scarlett Rat Entertainment, known for their appearance in the Annual Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles. During the performance, attendees can enjoy a three-course holiday-inspired meal at $45 for adults and $20 for children under 14, inclusive of coffee, tea, soda, taxes, and gratuity. The menu will include Butternut Squash and Roasted New York Apple Soup, Herb Roasted Chicken Breast with French-Inspired Scalloped Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables for adults and House Made Chicken Tenders & French Fries for kids. Guests can top of their meal with sweet holiday treat of Bûche de Noel, a Yule Log with Chocolate Cake with a Creamy Center and Marshmallow Mushrooms. Alcoholic beverages are additional. Situated in the picturesque village of Skaneateles, guests of Mirbeau are invited to experience the 20th Annual Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles, sponsored by Mirbeau, beginning on Black Friday, and running every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 22. This festival attracts countless visitors each year introducing them to the charm and holiday spirit found in Skaneateles. Mirbeau Inn & Spa also provides the perfect setting for family holiday photos, which can be taken in the inn’s living room in front of an elegantly decorated Christmas tree every Saturday from Nov. 30through Dec. 21.
