The National Women’s Hall of Fame to induct eight extraordinary women in 2023 Tickets for the September 30 Induction Ceremony are now on sale

The National Women’s Hall of Fame will induct eight extraordinary women in 2023: Patricia Bath, Elouise Cobell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Peggy McIntosh, Judith Plaskow, Loretta Ross, Allucquére Rosanne “Sandy” Stone, and Anna Wessels Williams.  The Hall will host its 31st Induction Ceremony on Saturday, September 30th at 2 pm at the historic Smith Opera House in Geneva, NY.

“In the five decades since its first Induction Ceremony in 1973, the Hall has continued to lift the voices and stories of exceptional women who changed the world,” said Jennifer Gabriel, executive director of the National Women’s Hall of Fame. “We are excited to come together with the nation in September in celebration of another historic class of honorees.” 

"I am honored to be the first Inductee to serve as president of the board,” said Jean Kilbourne, president of the Hall’s Board of Directors. “I look forward to welcoming these eight amazing women into the Hall.  It is more important than ever to hear and to amplify women’s stories." 

 

Tickets  

Tickets for the Induction Ceremony range from $50-$300 and can be purchased directly from the Smith Opera House.  For questions about ceremony tickets, please contact the Smith Opera House directly:

The ceremony will also be streamed live on the Hall’s YouTube channel.  

The 50th Induction Anniversary Gala will take place on the evening of September 30 at the National Women’s Hall of Fame. Tickets for this event will go on sale in June.

The September 30 Induction Ceremony is part of a weekend of festivities throughout the Seneca Falls region. More information will be announced later this spring at the induction website: womenofthehall.org/2023-induction.

About the National Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee Selection Process 

The 2023 Inductees were nominated by the public and judged by an independent National Panel of Judges, an interdisciplinary team of experts across the nominees’ fields. An independent Inductee Selection Committee reviews finalists and makes the final recommendations for Inductees.  Honorees are recognized for their invaluable contributions to American society in the areas of the arts, athletics, business, education, government, humanities, philanthropy, and science.
