National Women’s Hall of Fame opens public ticket sales for the 2022 Induction Ceremony

The National Women’s Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that members of the public can purchase tickets for the 2022 Induction Ceremony, September 24 at 2pm at the Smith Opera House in Geneva, NY.  This year’s Inductees are Octavia Butler, Judy Chicago, Rebecca Halstead, Joy Harjo, Mia Hamm, Emily Howland, Katherine Johnson, Indra Nooyi, and Michelle Obama.

 

“We are thrilled to release new tickets for sale and invite all to join us in celebration of nine incredible women,” said executive director Jennifer Gabriel. “This year marks our 30th Induction Ceremony and we look forward to welcoming these women into our community of 302 inspiring Inductees who will forever have a home at the National Women’s Hall of Fame.”

The Induction Ceremony is just one of several events that will take place during Induction Weekend 2022, September 23-25, 2022.  Several events are free and open to the public, including a community festival and fireworks show on Friday, September 23, and an open house at the National Women’s Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 25.  Visit the Hall’s website at womenofthehall.org or click here for more information. The 2021 Induction Ceremony was postponed due to COVID and rescheduled for 2022. This year the Hall is excited to announce that the following Inductees or Inductee representatives (in the case of deceased Inductees) have confirmed that they will be accepting their award in person in 2022: Octavia E. Butler, Rebecca Halstead, Mia Hamm, Joy Harjo, Emily Howland, Katherine Johnson, Indra Nooyi. Judy Chicago and Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be joining virtually.
