New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association Honors Holiday Inn Elmira Employee

The Stars of the Industry awards program, given out by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association each year, honors employees of the hotels, motels and tourism-related businesses throughout the state who best represent the quality service and spirit of the hospitality and tourism industry.

Jessica Castilow, Executive Housekeeper, of the Holiday Inn Elmira Riverview in Elmira, New York, is the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Manager of the Year award (150 Rooms or Less). The Outstanding Manager of the Year award recognizes exceptional performance by a supervisory employee (e.g., food & beverage managers, hotel managers, etc.) to their subordinates, to guests and to the community.

Sheila Thomas, General Manager of the property said, “Our company is very fortunate to have great individuals, like Jessica, working for us. She is not only a great leader but also very respected by peers, the community and especially her staff. We are very proud of her for receiving this well-deserved award.”

Castilow was recognized at the 2017 Stars of the Industry awards luncheon on October 16, 2017 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York.
