Activities Offered All Month Long

Celebrate Pride with The Rockwell Museum during the month of June. Participate in the Corning and worldwide celebration of the LGBTQ+ community by engaging with art and arts experiences in various ways. The Rockwell is offering the following activities during June:

  • Self-guided Pride Tour 
  • Foil Crown Project at the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab 
  • Rainbow Social Media Challenge

Exhibition Opening Celebration | Wendy Red Star, Apsáalooke: Children of the Large-Beaked Bird

Free and open to the public | No registration required
Location: KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab

Join us for the opening celebration of Wendy Red Star, Apsáalooke: Children of the Large-Beaked Bird, a special summer exhibition at the Art Lab. Be the first to view this exciting, kid-friendly exhibition, plus participate in art-making including a special hands-on workshop facilitated by Rockwell Educators.

The Rockwell Live! Music on the Terrace featuring Telephone Party

Open to the public | Rockwell Members: Free, Not-Yet-Members: $10 |  Advance registration required by 5:00 p.m. on June 22

The Rockwell’s summer music series is back, with a new twist! Join us for a fun evening featuring Telephone Party and a specialty cocktail inspired by a work of art from the Museum’s collection.

Telephone Party is a Corning, NY-based cover band offering a unique blend of danceable pop and laid-back jams, and an all-around feel-good atmosphere.

The Rockwell Live! Music on the Terrace featuring The Wildmans

Open to the public | Rockwell Members: Free, Not-Yet-Members: $10 |  Advance registration required by 5:00 p.m. on July 13

The Rockwell’s summer music series is back, with a new twist! Join us for a fun evening featuring The Wildmans and a specialty cocktail inspired by a work of art from the Museum’s collection.

The Wildmans come from the hills of Floyd, Virginia, in the heart of the Appalachian mountain music tradition.

Summer Stroller Walk

Free for children and caregivers | 
Meeting location: Parent Resource Center, 300 Nasser Civic Center Plaza #210, Corning, NY 14830 (Above the Southeast Steuben County Library)

Come with your strollers and carriers to view art! The group will meet at the PRC for coffee and walk down Market Street together. Then, we’ll get out of the heat at The Rockwell Museum where educator Kate Swanson will introduce Please Touch: The Art of Michael NaranjoFinally, we’ll walk over to the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab!
