Press Release: History Happy Hour on Music in Geneva August 17

Aug 10th, 2021

The Geneva Historical Society is now Historic Geneva. Same mission, new name.

History Happy Hour Explores Music

Geneva, N.Y.: The Historic Geneva History Happy Hour is back this summer! Join Historic Geneva Curator John Marks for a short and informal program at Lake Drum Brewing monthly on Tuesdays. On August 17, 2021, he will share a captioned slide show highlighting images and information about Geneva's music history.

From brass bands and church choirs to 19th-century opera stars and nationally-known recording artists, Geneva has a wealth of music history. Explore it in this informal program. Come in any time, stay as long as you like! The slides will run on a continuous loop throughout the time. John will be available to chat and welcomes people with stories and photos to share for future programs.

Next month's History Happy Hour will be on Tuesday, September 21.

Lake Drum Brewing is located at 16 East Castle Street in Geneva, N.Y.

This is a Historic Geneva program. Call 315-789-5151 or visit historicgeneva.org for more information.
