Oct 10th, 2018

The Sommelier Challenge is an annual competition held in San Diego that is judged entirely by panels of sommeliers, which represent some of the most esteemed restaurants in the country.  While the panel of judges are from throughout the United States, most are from some of the top restaurants in California.

Swedish Hill brought home the “Best Riesling” title, Gold, Platinum and Silver Medals. “Best Riesling” was awarded for their 2016 Blue Waters Riesling, which also received a 94 point rating and Gold for their Naturel with a 90 point rating. Platinum was awarded for their 2016 Blue Water Riesling and the 2017 Dry Riesling received a Silver Medal. Riesling and sparkling wines are well established as world class in the Finger Lakes, and we are thrilled to receive these great accolades from such a prestigious panel of judges”, commented Swedish Hill Co-Owner David Peterson.
