Watkins Glen Area Chamber Hosts B2B Meet Up: Connecting Businesses to Businesses!

Apr 27th, 2020

Watkins Glen, NY- The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its fifth virtual B2B Meet Up event this Wednesday, April 29 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. enabling businesses from Schuyler County and the Finger Lakes Region to share even more ideas and opportunities, working together and finding innovative ways to thrive.

During this challenging time it is imperative that our businesses continue to offer both products and services that are relevant in this radical new environment, while innovating and developing an emergent success plan, all while continuing to network and build business relationships – and we are here to help! This virtual meeting series is designed to support business leaders and owners of all sizes and types. Each session will begin with welcoming remarks, followed by the keynote speaker which this week will be Matthew Burr of Burr Consulting, helping provide businesses with an effective and practical approach to transitioning employees off unemployment and back to work, and answering any related questions from attendees. Attendees at these virtual gatherings are invited to introduce themselves and their businesses, sharing ideas and growing their established network to help themselves and each other prosper. Each session will also feature a skills presenter that will discuss ways attendees can assist their businesses during this challenging time, with Paul Thomas, Tourism and Marketing Manager of the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce reviewing best practices businesses can apply to their marketing and messaging during a time of crisis. Following that presentation will be an inspirational presentation by Sue Silhan, owner of Selah Yoga featuring a meditation exercise specifically chosen to help keep attendees grounded and focused. Each session will end with updates from the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director, Rebekah Carroll, with time for a question and answer session to wrap things up.

Chamber Executive Director Rebekah Carroll is looking forward to this virtual meet up, “During this time, it is more important than ever to provide ways for our business community to continue to support each other, to provide innovative ways to network, and to provide inspiration and hope to our community.”

All Finger Lakes Region businesses, whether they reside in Schuyler County or beyond, and whether they are a Chamber member or not, are invited to attend this online gathering.
