(CORTLAND, NY): USA Today’s popular 2019 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is currently hosting a contest for Best Fall Festival in the USA and the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest is among the nominees. Now we need your help to make Pumpkinfest number one! Voting is currently open and everyone is encouraged to visit the 10Best website and cast their vote for Pumpkinfest as the Best Fall Festival in the entire United States.
USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2019 is an annual contest hosted by the magazine to determine the best in US travel. USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in contests covering food, lodging, destinations, travel gear, things to do and so much more. Then it is up to the readers to make the final decision by casting their votes.
“A nomination of this stature, on the national level, is a testament to the work of the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest Committee,” said Meghan Lawton, Executive Director of the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Having been part of a 10Best Award Winning Category before, I know just how special a nomination of this level is. Only 20 fall-themed festivals were selected from across all 50 states, and one of them is right here in Cortland County! I encourage everyone to vote, and vote, and vote! Let’s make our Cortland Pumpkinfest Number 1.”

The winning festival will be announced on Friday, September 6th.
“The Great Cortland Pumpkinfest is a celebration of the harvest season in Cortland County and the Finger Lakes Region,” said Liz Cole and Mindy Stevenson, Co-Chairs of the Pumpkinfest Committee. “For more than twenty years the Pumpkinfest has showcased the area’s talented craftspeople, regional delicacies, entertainment, and so much more. It is not only a fun-filled family weekend, but a window into what the area has to offer.”
