(Interlaken, NY) Put the kids to bed, get a sitter and head out to Americana Vineyards Winery on Saturday, June 15, becauseWhiskey Tango Sideshow is setting up their tent and putting their second annual "Wine & Circus" under the big top beginning at8:00pm. The popular Ithaca-based troupe is an assemblage of burlesque dancers, singers, acrobats, fire-troupe, musicians, and costume designers that have developed their own unique, modern spin on classic burlesque, which they have termed cabaret nouveau.
"Even in 'high season' it can be tough to find things to do at night around here," explains Joseph Gober, Jr., owner of Americana. "So we're happy to provide an evening of what promises to be outrageous and over-the-top entertainment!"
The show kicks off at 8:00pm and you must be 21 or over to attend. In addition to the show, wine and snacks will be available, including a circus staple -- fresh popped popcorn. Guests can also get dinner before the show at the Crystal Lake Café which ends dinner service at 8:00pm.
Tickets are just $15 per person at the door, but people interested in attending should make reservations in advance by calling the winery at 607-387-6801, as seating is limited.
Because the show is outside under the tent, there is a rain date the following Saturday, June 22.
A spokeswoman for the troupe guarantees, "From some serious sass, to the down right bizarre, the Whiskey Tango Sideshow has a little something-something for everyone! It's a true show experience!"
