Awards for 13 Casa Larga Wines

Fairport, NY - Casa Larga received awards for 13 of its wines recently. Two wines received 92 Points from the Beverage Testing Institute: Meritage and the 2013 Fiori Vidal Blanc Ice Wine. At the New York Wine and Food Classic, four wines received Double Gold medals: 2016 Dry Rosé, 2016 Estate Block 4 Late Pick Riesling, 2016 Medium Dry Riesling, and 2016 Dry Riesling.

"We are especially excited for our newest Rieslings to earn these awards," says Andrea Colaruotolo-O'Neill, director of marketing at Casa Larga Vineyards. "The Estate Block 4 is part of a new series we released in June. It's a big accomplishment to win three awards for Rieslings in a New York competition, where it is a signature style and highly competitive."

Beverage Testing Institute Awards

Meritage, 92 Points ($23.99). Aromas of currants, dark berries, plums, tobacco, and leather with a dry and well-balanced finish.

2016 Dry Rosé, Double Gold ($13.99). Fruity aromas and tangy, fruity flavors with a smooth finish.

2016 Estate Block 4 Late Pick Riesling, Double Gold ($16.99). These grapes weren't harvested until November, resulting in a delicate Riesling reminiscent of Auslese.

2016 Medium Dry Riesling, Double Gold ($13.99). A cool climate Finger Lakes Riesling with a floral and ripe peach nose.
