Share the Light Be The Light
In December, the CVB published the beautifully illustrated picture book: 'The Legend of the Gathers: Protectors of the Light.'
Inspired by the true story of one small town's role in making the first light bulbs for inventor Thomas Edison and the mysterious boy who blew that first glass bubble, The Legend of the Gathers is also a story about seeing magic in the world, about seeing the light in things.
It's about being a Light, too, in the dark. Sharing your light with others.
We're asking if, over the past year, you might have experienced anyone sharing the light or being the light. It doesn't have to be a huge life-changing gesture. It could be something simple and quiet like walking a dog for your neighbor who might not be able to get out. Or sharing resources or ingredients when a colleague's shipment was delayed. Maybe it's simply being present and checking in on a friend or neighbor.
