Good morning tourism partners!
As the weather warms (woo hoo!), our wineries are being inundated with buses and limos (whoa no!), despite very clear limitations and restrictions on groups due to COVID-19. The vast majority of wineries on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail are not accepting groups of more than 4 or 6 at this time. We maintain a page on our website – Current Winery Offerings – which we update anytime a winery policy changes.
Unfortunately, a number of transportation companies are still booking large groups, despite our repeated communications/requests that they review winery policies before booking. This is resulting in many frustrated customers who have spent a pretty penny on a bus and cannot find a winery to accept a group of their size. Or, worst-case scenario, they load up on the bus and hit the road, thinking they can simply break up into smaller groups on arrival. That is also simply not allowed at this time.
