The award recipient will be named in December.
Applicant Requirements for consideration:
- Resident of the 14-County Finger Lakes region
- Studying Tourism and Hospitality as a 2nd year student or beyond – OR – Employed in a tourism or hospitality role with 2 years of demonstrable experience, with a desire to further education and training in the field.
In 2024, two students received in the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Hospitality and Tourism Management program earned scholarship awards. Daniel Hopper, a 3rd year student and Jessica Nobrega, a student working full time in the industry accepted the awards to help defray costs of their education.
We look forward to reviewing a healthy pool of advocates from colleges and universities across the Finger Lakes region and a growing pool of disciplines. For the first time, the scholarship committee will consider applications from established tourism and hospitality professionals seeking to further their education or training, in addition to typical students.
The Deadline to submit an application is November 15, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship awards.
