CROW CAWCUS CONVENTION PROCLAMATION
PROCLAMATION
City of Auburn, New York
Crow Cawcus Convention Day
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn, New York, is a community that values creativity, curiosity, and a touch of well-placed mischief; and
WHEREAS, crows—those clever, communal, and keenly observant citizens of the sky—have long gathered in Auburn each winter, reminding us of the power of assembly, communication, and collective voice; and
WHEREAS, the people of Auburn recognize that civic life, much like a murder of crows, thrives when individuals come together to share ideas, stories, and good humor; and
WHEREAS, February, a month of shadows and brilliance alike, is an especially fitting time to honor wit, wisdom, and wonder—preferably with a dramatic flourish and a resonant caw; and
WHEREAS, the Crow Cawcus Convention invites residents and visitors to gather in the spirit of imagination, community, and playful reverence for literature, lore, and our feathered neighbors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that the third Saturday of February shall be known as
CROW CAWCUS CONVENTION DAY
in the City of Auburn, New York.
BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that on this day, citizens are encouraged to assemble boldly, speak cleverly, dress dramatically if so inclined, and listen—truly listen—for the voices among us.
