What is the difference between a clinic and a lesson?
This isn’t a private lesson stretched thin—it’s a group learning environment designed to accelerate your horsemanship from every angle. It’s collaborative, eye-opening, and transformative.
Clinics are for helpful if:
· You want to understand why your horse reacts a certain way.
· You feel stuck in a cycle of correcting the same issues.
· You crave a deeper connection and understanding that goes beyond cues and commands.
Purpose: Intensive, focused improvement or evaluation. It's a deep dive into a specific topic, technique, or problem, often with a fresh perspective. A clinic is an opportunity to spot subtle nuances your regular routine may miss.
Structure: A special event, a one-time opportunity intensive workshop. Clinics often involves participation as well as
"auditing" (watching others ride).
Content: Focused on a specific theme. Each session is dedicated to a specific theme ensuring deep, not broad, progress
Audience: Can be larger groups of riders, including others from various barns, often with a wider range of skills. Spectators (auditors) are encouraged.
Clinician's Role: to provide a new viewpoint, advanced techniques, or to "troubleshoot" specific issues. Inspiration versus the long term learning of lessons
Riders are welcome to bring their own horses. Established students who ride at Painted Bar Stables may use lesson horse
