SEVEN NEW ARTISTS ON FREE SELF-GUIDED ART TOUR AND SALE
OCTOBER 5-6, 10am – 5pm
NAPLES, NY, September 8, 2019 – Naples Open Studio Trail (NOST), a group of dynamic, innovative artists that invite the public into their studios every October, announced that seven new artists have joined its annual free self-guided art tour. There will be 16 artists at 12 locations scattered around Canandaigua Lake and centered in Naples, New York. Studios are open October 5-6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A downloadable map is available on its site; people are also welcome to contact them for a brochure.
NOST also announces that renowned glass blower, Leon Applebaum, is returning to the trail; his son Eli will also be showing work at their studio. The Applebaums are joined by Lauren Hirsh, mixed media; Thomas MacAllister, woodworking; and Judy Voss, denim textiles, on locations along the trail. Guest artists include Joanne Schwallie, artisanal bath and body products; Mike Griffin, ceramics; and Paul Mitchell, photography.
From Bristol to Naples, NOST artists surround Canandaigua Lake: they work in oils, acrylics, ceramics, metal, wood, fabric, herbs, pastels, and clay, to create paintings, sculpture, wearables, furniture, jewelry, photography, natural soaps and moisturizers, housewares, etc. Captivating demonstrations are presented throughout the two-day event. These artists typically sell their wares in galleries and craft fairs all over the United States. During NOST, purchases and commissions can be made directly with artists.
Trail riders enjoy spectacular, pastoral scenery, changing fall colors, winding back roads, and creative interaction with artists while driving from studio to studio. Each of these artists will show and sell their work in one of the Trail Artist’s studios, galleries, or homes.
