Get out on the lake with us before the holiday rush! You'll learn basic paddling skills on the land, and then paddle around the North end of Canandaigua Lake. After paddleboarding, we'll come together as a group for a yoga class designed to ease tensions that might rise up from learning to balance on the board. The perfect mix of movement and stillness. This class is for all levels and no prior experience is required!

Go from the basement to the belvedere of Rose Hill Mansion.  Please be advised that there are many stairs to climb, a dirt floor basement and some confined spaces included in the tour.  The tour lasts an hour. Recommended for adults and children over 10 years old. As space is limited, reservations are required and can be purchased at historicgeneva.org. The tour lasts an hour.

Kayak lessons are a great way to improve your skills in the world of kayaking. This Saunders Finger Lakes Museum class will help newcomers to kayaking with beginning skills, and will help the intermediate level kayakers to refine their strokes, and add more skills to their kayaking repertoire. Current skill level will be evaluated at the beginning of class. Classes will be taught by ACA certified Museum personnel.

Tonight's program is filled with mystery, longing and virtuosity.  Bach's Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor opens with a tense and melancholic prelude that gives away to a masterful fugue in five voices.  Mozart's Fantasied, left unfinished at the time of the composer's death, is a temperamental and moody work in seven distinct sections.  From the opening notes of the immediately recognizable Ballade No 1, one understands why Chopin called it his "dearest work".  This daring work takes the Sturm and Drang movement to epic, dreamlike heights.  Gershwin's delightful "It Ain't Necessarily So" gives way to Schumann's rich and colorful Piano Quartet.

What’s better than a summer thunder moon evening paddle and refreshments by a bonfire? Led by Saunders Finger Lakes Museum’s NYS Outdoor Guides and Educators, this evening paddle will take guests out onto the waters of Keuka Lake, through wetlands, and back up Sugar Creek. The night ends with snacks around the bonfire.
