Echomen Reunite Again at Ventosa Vineyards
GENEVA, NEW YORK –Ventosa Vineyards will host the famous Echomen reunion, Friday, July 23rd. Doors open at 6pm for a buffet-style dinner, including stuffed chicken breast or braised Tuscan beef, Yukon Gold whipped potatoes, & salad until 7pm. The show begins at 7pm to 10pm. Tickets are $10 for show-only and $35 for dinner and show. Reservations are required and can be made by purchasing tickets on Ventosa’s website www.Ventosa Vineyards.com. Tickets will be handed out at the door after presenting your name. Special seating arrangements cannot be accommodated. Pre-sale tickets available through July 22. Tickets are available at the door the day of the show, if space permits.
Group members: lead guitarist Gary Ventura, drummer Steve Cocola, bass guitarist Jim Harrison, saxophone, lead vocalist Jim Richmond, and keyboardist Don Damick first started playing together when they were in the 8th grade. They are members of Geneva High’s Class of 1970.
The Echomen modeled themselves after another popular Geneva band, Wilmer and the Dukes, and played a number of their songs as well as a lot of 1960s classical, soul, R&B and classic rock covers, including tunes by Wilson Pickett, James Brown, the Rascals and the Temptations.
Ventosa Vineyards is a family-owned, estate winery located on the northeast side of Seneca Lake, just outside Geneva, NY. Opened in 2005, the winery specializes in older vintage, dry red wines. Ventosa was honored to win the prestigious Governor’s Cup in 2015 for its 2011 Lemberger, the first red varietal to win this top NY State award.
