M&T Bank Clothesline Art & Fine Craft Festival
August 29 & 30, 2026
10:00 am–5:00 pm
Special MAG Member shopping begins at 9:30 on both days
The Memorial Art Gallery and MAG Council are teaming up to bring more art, more music, and more food to the M&T Bank Clothesline Art & Fine Craft Festival, the museum’s largest annual fundraiser and biggest celebration of the arts.
For almost 70 years, over 300 artists from across the country have offered their work for sale at this two-day festival, held on the beautiful grounds of the Memorial Art Gallery. Clothesline is the place to experience all-day live entertainment, sample food from some of Rochester’s favorite food trucks and vendors, enjoy free family art activities, and visit the museum.

Clothesline Beer Brewed by Strangebird
Raise a can to creativity with a brand new, festival-inspired brew: Clothesline State of Mind. This limited-edition craft beer was brewed exclusively for the M&T Bank Clothesline Art & Fine Craft Festival by Rochester’s Strangebird. This sour ale blends tropical paw paw with pink pepper corn for a bright, fruity flavor, finishing with a zesty, woody snap. Clothesline State of Mind will be available in cans at multiple Brown Hound locations throughout the festival grounds while supplies last.
We The Hobby Free Family Fun Zone
The general public, as well as festival ticket holders, are invited to join the Creative Workshop team for FREE hands-on arts & crafts, games, and sensory experiences.
Activities will include collaborative clothespin sunflowers, make-your-own trading cards, DIY mosaics, and bracelet-making.
The We The Hobby Free Family Fun Zone will offer a quiet space for families, including areas for diaper changing and nursing and a shared play area.
