February 4 | NordicFest Trail Race
Stay warm this February with a winter trail race produced by Yellow Jacket Racing! This 4ish mile trail run will wind through the magical woodland of the Bristol Hills. Snowshoes optional!
February 5 | Snowga
Experience an invigorating, meditative yoga experience in the snow-covered pines with Lynne Boucher of Yoga Revolution. Dress warm, come ready to play, and enjoy a once-a-year Nature Center tradition!
February 11 | Night Ski
Strap on a headlamp and glide through the lantern-lit Beaver Trail during this magical nighttime ski. Enjoy a beer with Naples Brewing Co. before or after your ski.
February 12 | The Reindeer Games
Calling all kids! Grab your skis (or rent some!) and join us for The Reindeer Games. Practice your ski skills with daring feats of balance and speed as you prepare for the Flight of the Birkebeiner. Come for an hour or stay for the whole day. Viking hats encouraged!
ONGOING ACTIVITIES
In addition to our special NordicFest Weekend activities, we have a host of ongoing activities for snow-lovers of all ages. Take advantage of our ski and snowshoe rental options to explore 12 miles of groomed ski trails and 3 miles of snowshoe trails. Warm up between activities in our fireside downstairs lounge. Families will have plenty to keep their kids occupied with the visit to the Gnome Roam, Snow Kitchen, a winter scavenger hunt, and more!

Discover the history of the snowshoe and the various styles indigenous peoples created for travel over the winter terrain. Don a pair of traditional snowshoes and join us for a guided hike!

This special lesson is designed for kids ages 6-9 to grow confident on their skis. Children will play games and practice skills under the guidance of an expert instructor and CNC educator.

Snow Science Hike

Discover the various crystalline structures of snowflakes, how they form and the effect snow has on the environment and wildlife in northern regions. Hands-on science and snow building fun included!
Ski-O
12pm | price varies
This beginner-friendly Ski-O will exercise your brain and body as you navigate checkpoints along the nature center’s trails by ski. The Rochester Orienteering Club will offer an introduction to orienteering at 12pm, and the course will close at 3:30pm.
Night Ski
5pm-8pm | $5 admission
