Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance networking event set to have record attendance

Waterloo, NY – A record breaking 187 organizations are set to attend the annual Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance Brochure Exchange. Every year, the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance holds a brochure exchange to give organizations within the region a chance to network with other tourism industry professionals and share information about what is taking place at their organization.

"This event pulls the region together every year and is a great chance for professional organizations, big and small, to interact in a way that grows business for each individual organization and for the Finger Lakes region as a whole," said FLTA President Cindy Kimble. "Our brochure exchange grows every year and that growth makes this event exponentially more beneficial for participating organizations."

Last year, roughly 125 organizations participated in the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance Brochure Exchange. Each participating organization will bring up to 500 brochures to share with other participating organizations. This exchange of brochures allows businesses to stock their brochure racks for visitors.

Legislators, senators and assemblymen are also encouraged to attend so they can meet with organizations and hear about issues important to business growth in the Finger Lakes Region.

The brochure exchange will be held on Wednesday, May 20, rain or shine, in the Waterloo Premium Outlets parking lot. The event will start at 10 am and last until 12 pm; guests are encouraged to arrive as early as 9:30 am to set up and take full advantage of the event. FLTA partners are invited to the brochure exchange at no cost. Organizations that are not an FLTA partner are encouraged to attend the event at a $100 fee to participate. If your organization would like to attend, contact the FLTA office at 315.536.7488 by the end of the business day Tuesday, May 19.

Founded in 1919, Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance is recognized as one of the oldest destination marketing organizations in the United States. FLTA is an association of private-sector attractions, tourism-related businesses and county tourism offices working together to enhance and promote visitor businesses for the 9,000 square-mile Finger Lakes region of New York State.
