26th Anniversary Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards

Sep 28th, 2015

The sweet feeling of grapes squishing between your toes. Wind in your hair and straw poking your rear end: it's a haywagon ride through 40 acres of vineyards. Great food lovingly made with the best local ingredients spread across a picnic table, or under the big tent, with live music treating your ears. An intimate Winemaking 101 seminar with winemakers Jonathan Hunt and Brian Barry; they'll answer the questions you've been dying to ask.

Pack up your friends, family and camera and come to the 26th Anniversary Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards on the beautiful western slope of Keuka Lake, on Saturday, October 3 (10am to 6pm) and Sunday, October 4 (11am-5pm). Admission and parking are free and no reservations are needed.

A variety of food, lovingly prepared with the best local ingredients, will be provided by:

Big Bear BBQ

Pi Truck (wood-fired pizza)

New York Wine and Culinary Center (Sunday only)

Sacheli Farm Food Inc.

Spotted Duck Creamery (frozen custard)

Crosseyed Cat and Agonal Rhythm will energize the festival with great live music on Saturday; Bourbon Street Parade Band on Sunday.

Hunt Country's Harvest Festival began in 1990 to bring the Branchport and Keuka Lake community together at a beautiful time of the year and raise money for the local volunteer fire department and churches. While staying true to that mission, the event now draws 2000 people from Western and Central NY, Northern and Central PA, and more distant areas.

At this year's Harvest Festival, Hunt Country will officially release for tasting and sale the 2015 blends of its best-selling Alchemy and Classic Red, as well as 2014 vintages of the versatile Semi-Dry Riesling and barrel-fermented Chardonnay. Hunt Country will be offering free standard wine tastings, as well as specialty wine tastings with chocolates or cheeses, and tours of their wine-making facilities and new 109kW solar energy system. Local craftspeople, artists and specialty food producers will display and provide samples of their artwork and wares.
