ALWAYS ... PATSY CLINE Opens at Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival

AUBURN, N.Y. (September 21, 2017) —The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) closes its 2017 Season with ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE. The fifth and final show of the season opens tonight and runs through October 11 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.

The ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE cast includes Jacqueline Petroccia as Patsy Cline. This marks Jacqueline’s tenth production of Always… Patsy Cline and her Finger Lakes debut. She won the Connecticut Critics Circle Award and the St. Louis Broadway World Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Patsy Cline, and recently starred opposite Cindy Williams on the national tour. Jackie performed in Sweeney Todd and Carousel with the NY Philharmonic (both broadcast on PBS’ “Live from Lincoln Center”) and won the Outstanding Performance Award for creating the role of Flossie in Single Wide at The New York Musical Theater Festival. Credits include: Kate in The Pirates of Penzance at Barrington Stage, Jeanne Dewberry in Because of Winn Dixie at Alabama Shakespeare, and national tours of The Producers, The Sound of Music, and Fiddler on the Roof. Her one woman show Sometimes Patsy Cline debuted at Feinstein’s/54 Below in 2015.

Starring as Patsy Cline's pen-pal and friend, Louise Seger, is Sally Mayes. Sally made her Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s Welcome to the Club. Her performance won critical praise along with a Theater World Award and Outer Critics Circle nomination as one of Broadway’s Outstanding Newcomers. On Broadway, Sally is perhaps best known for her performance in the Roundabout Theater revival of She Loves Me, for which she won Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nominations. Sally appeared as Aunt Corene in Urban Cowboy (Drama Desk nomination). She drew raves as Mae West in the national tour of Dirty Blonde and also appeared in the Broadway revival of Steel Magnolias. Sally starred in several off-Broadway productions including Closer than Ever (Outer Critics Circle nomination), Das Barbecue, Pete N’ Keely(Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical), Play it Cool, Good Ol’ Girls, and The Best is Yet to Come.

 

The show is directed by Douglas S. Hall with Jeff Cox serving as Musical Director. ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE will feature scenic designs by Shoko Kambara, lighting design by Jose Santiago, sound design by Joel Abbott, and costume design by Tiffany Howard.
