Arbor Hill Wins Double Gold at International Wine Competition

Apr 07th, 2014

Naples, N.Y. - Arbor Hill Winery took home awards for two of its wines at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition last week, winning double gold for its new Black Currant Speedster wine, and gold for the Griesa Hill Iona Rose'.

The Griesa Hill Iona Rose' was recognized as a triple gold award winner in 2013. The wine placed at several other competitions during the previous year, even taking home the Best of Class Award at the 2013 New York Wine & Food Classic. This is the first award for the new Speedster wine, which was just released in 2013. The Black Currant is considered a "dessert wine" in the Speedster series.

"Our Griesa Hill wine is a favorite in the competitions we participate in, but we are elated to see our Speedster wine getting fabulous recognition as well," comments John Brahm, owner of Arbor Hill Winery. "Awards like the gold and double gold are a testament to the quality and flavor of Arbor Hill wines."

Both the Griesa Hill Iona Rose' and the Black Currant Speedster wines are available for purchase in Arbor Hill Winery's gift shop in Bristol Springs, N.Y., just three miles south of Bristol Mountain or online at http://www.thegrapery.com/.
