Bristol Mountain held their annual Tour de Bristol Race to the Summit, the ultimate uphill Nordic Race on Sunday, March 27th. Event participants are tasked with tackling 1.5 miles of snow-covered terrain uphill with a 1,200’ total vertical rise.
“The Tour de Bristol Race to the Summit is an event for those Nordic skiers where a leisurely ski in the park is not enough”, explained Bristol Mountain Snowsports School Director Steve Howie. “It’s the perfect opportunity for skiers who are looking for more fun, more pain, and the ultimate bragging rights.”
This year’s champion, Braden Bellizi, age 15 of Honeoye Falls, earned the 2022 title after he completed the course in an incredible 19 minutes and 50 seconds. The race is held annually during Bristol Mountain’s Spring Carnival festivities.
