(Hammondsport, NY) – Heron Hill Winery will reopen the popular Blue Heron Café on Friday, May 24, 2013. With panoramic views of rolling vineyards along beautiful Keuka Lake, the Café and outdoor terrace provide one of the best settings in the Finger Lakes region for savoring local wine and freshly-prepared food in a casual afternoon atmosphere. The Café opens initially Friday through Monday, beginning June 17th regular summer hours will extend Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Jeffory McLean has joined Heron Hill Winery as Executive Chef. McLean is a Finger Lakes native and he formerly held the position of Lead Culinary Instructor at the New York Wine & Culinary Center. He brings a New American style of cooking to the Blue Heron Café, and looks forward to highlighting locally produced cheeses and meats as well as produce. The Blue Heron Café will showcase a reimagined menu with seasonal features, however guests can still expect value-minded generously portioned options including paninis, wraps and salads. A group menu is also available to bus tours and parties of 10 or more. For convenience all groups are required to order in advance, a group menu is available by contacting the Blue Heron Café.

Beginning in July, the sounds of live music fill the Blue Heron Café Terrace every Sundayafternoon from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. through October.
