Boating Museum hosts special three-day long boat canvassing workshop.
HAMMONDSPORT--The Finger Lakes Boating Museum, located at the southern end of Keuka Lake, recently hosted students in a special three-day long Lightning sailboat canvassing workshop led by Ed Wightman. Students learned how to recanvas the decks of their vintage wooden Lightning sailboats.
In late June these Lightning class sailboats will be racing in the Champagne Regatta hosted by the Keuka Yacht Club.
This workshop was sponsored by the Classic Boat Fleet of the International Lightning Class Association.
