BRISTOL VALLEY THEATER ANNOUNCES 2022 DONALD AND SKIPPY RAINES FALL FOR THE ARTS SERIES

NAPLES, NY (September 2022)

Bristol Valley Theater, the Finger Lakes' award-winning live professional theater has announced the lineup for their 2022 Donald and Skippy Raines Fall for the Arts Series.

“It's the perfect time of year for mysteries, and scary stories, and a few surprises, and this fall series has all three!” says BVT Artistic Director Karin Bowersock.

The Donald and Skippy Raines Fall for the Arts Series begins on October 14th at 7pm with a BVT first-a Halloween film festival. Kick off “spooky season” with the Friday the 14th Film Festival feature three films starring a handful of Bristol Valley Theater favorites! The evening begins with a showing of short film WONDER WARTHOG with Naples resident and BVT actor Jim Ditmars. Then catch Mark Poppleton (co-owner of Naples' popular gift shop, Artizann's) in the 2019 feature film CRY FOR THE BAD MAN, where a small town widow faces a grisly confrontation with her would-be extortionists. Finish out this evening of thrills with a film that's sure to send chills down your spine; SOUL TO KEEP follows a group of siblings and lifelong friends vacationing at a rundown country home. Find out what happens when they come face to face with Beelzebub, a powerful demon set out to possess and consume souls. Longtime BVT actor Kate Rose Reynolds stars in this frightening feature that's sure to get you in the mood for Halloween. CRY FOR THE BAD MAN and SOUL TO KEEP hold R ratings and are intended for mature audiences. Ticket price of $10 includes all three films.

Next up in the exciting lineup of festivities for the fall season, is the much anticipated annual Season Announcement Event hosted by Bristol Valley Theater on October 22nd at 7pm. Be among the first to know what productions the theater has in store for next season and join in celebrating the legacy of Executive Artistic Director Karin Bowersock as she bids the theater farewell after 19 years of leadership. Enjoy an evening filled with preview performances, food and drinks and take your chances to win one of the many prizes being raffled off at the event. Tickets for this event are $20.

Closing out the fall season, is the return of the beloved BVT tradition Mystery Radio Theater. Only two chances to see fabulous artists bring an all new line up of mysteries from the “Golden Age of Radio” performed live onstage. The cast includes Ms. Bowersock and Mr. Ditmars, along with David Dial, Meaghan Finlay, Ken Corey, Leah Corey and sound engineer Rich Miller as the Foley artist. Join in the fun on October 29th at 7pm and October 30th at 2pm to see this team of artists bring your favorite mysteries to life, right before your eyes Ticket are $10 for children under 12, $15 for children under 18 and and $20 for adults.
