Brown Hound Bistro Reopening for the Season

May 01st, 2015

Award Winning Farm-to-Table Restaurant set to open May 7th

South Bristol, NY: Brown Hound Bistro, which received a very favorable Democrat & Chronicle review this past fall, is slated to reopen for the season on Thursday, May 7. Closed during the harsh and quiet winter months, Brown Hound Bistro serves dinner 5 nights, along with a Sunday brunch, in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Following the stellar review, Brown Hound Bistro won the NY State of Mind: EAT NY award for their commitment to using NY and Finger Lakes sourced products in their seasonally-driven menus. Celebrating 10 years of local cuisine this year, the Brown Hound plans to incorporate more locally-sourced items this spring than ever before.

Owner Trish Aser stated, "Farmers, growers, small-scale manufacturers become more abundant every day in our very own community. This is an opportunity for us to use the highest caliber food, support the local economy, reduce our footprint and distinguish ourselves. We've been building this for 10 years; it's not a trend for us, it's a lifestyle. And we enjoy the opportunity to share it and educate our guests so they can buy local, too. It's not just about delivering a memorable dining experience, but it's also about sustainability."
