Fairport, NY - Casa Larga Vineyards has released 8 new vintages since the beginning of the year that are available at their Wine Shop in Fairport and select liquor stores. "I learn something new with every vintage," says Matt Cassavaugh, Winemaker at Casa Larga. "No matter how many Pinot Noir or Dry Rose wines you've made, the next one is always different. The weather for that year and the grape-growing process gives each vintage its own character." 2006 Blanc de Blanc Champagne This champagne is made with hand-picked grapes and fermented in the bottle (the traditional method, Methode Champenoise). Ripe apple flavors mingle with a hint of honey and a crisp, dry finish. $24.99 per 750mL bottle 2012 Dry Rose This is a light bodied rose with a nice salmon-pink color and subtle flavors of tart apples and watermelon. $9.99 per 750mL bottle 2010 Fiori Vidal Ice Wine This ice wine is made from grapes frozen on the vine. It has flavors of pineapple, apricot and butterscotch and has a lingering honey finish. $39.99 per 375mL bottle 2011 Gewürztraminer A spicy, semi-dry, Alsatian-style Gewürztraminer, this wine is refreshing with lively spiciness and acidity. $16.99 per 750mL bottle 2011 Hungarian Oak Chardonnay This wine is aged for 15 months in new Hungarian Oak Barrels. The aroma is of toasted oak with just a hint of pineapple. $18.99 per 750mL bottle 2011 Muscat d'Ottonel Crafted after the European dry-style Muscat wines, this wine has citrus and floral aromas and is a great representation of the Casa Larga terroir. $14.99 per 750mL bottle 2010 Pinot Noir This is a very fruit-forward pinot, with berry fruit and dark cherry flavors.
