Celebrate Rose Hill Mansion's Opening to the Public

Geneva, N.Y.:  The Geneva Historical Society is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Rose Hill Mansion becoming a museum with Rose Hill Through the Ages. This special afternoon of activities runs from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
 
Rose Hill Through the Ages will feature presentations about the restoration of the house and the interpretation of its history. The programs will focus on  the many families that lived in the house, explore the changing ideas about what historic house museums should be, and look at how the Sullivan-Clinton Campaign of 1779 impacted the property. Lock 52 Jazz Band will perform from 2–4 p.m. There will be old-fashioned games and activities for children and a special self-guided "Geek Tour" of the house.
 
Admission for Rose Hill Through the Ages will be the throwback prices of 1968! $1 for adults, $0.50 for children 10-16, and $2.50 family rate for two adults and one or more children. Members are free.
 
Rose Hill Mansion is located at 3373 Route 96A, about a mile south of Routes 5&20, near Geneva, New York. The house is open May 1 to October 31, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The grounds are open year round, free of charge.
