Corning's Gaffer District Announces New Sponsor for GlassFest's Scavenger Hunt

Corning, NY—Corning’s Gaffer District is pleased to announce that World Kitchen will continue as a GlassFest sponsor for 2016, and this year with a special twist. The scavenger hunt, previously sponsored by Corning’s Gorilla Glass will now be renamed the Market Street New York™ Corelle® Scavenger Hunt.

As the sponsor for the Market Street New York™ Corelle® Scavenger Hunt, Corelle® is giving away prizes from all of the World Kitchen brands including, Pyrex®, Corningware®, Corelle®, Snapware®, Baker’s Secret® and Chicago Cutlery®. The grand prize giveaway will be service for 8 of the new Market Street New York™ Corelle® Blue Adirondack pattern plus coordinated serve platter, wooden salad bowl and spoons, frost glass carafe and milk and sugar set.

The new collection can be previewed during GlassFest in the Corningware®, Corelle® and More store on Pine Street in Corning, NY. Visitors can participate in the Market Street New York™ Corelle® Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win service for 8 from the new collection. The Scavenger Hunt entry forms can be picked up beginning Friday, May 27 in the Information Center of Corning, as well as on Saturday and Sunday that weekend. Contest entrants must visit at least 15 of the participating business and return the completed form no later than Sunday, May 29 at 5pm to the Gaffer District Information Tent in Centerway Square or the Information Center of Corning.

The scavenger hunt is meant to help drive even more foot traffic inside the Gaffer District businesses during GlassFest, and with an incentive like possibly winning goodies from Corelle®, Pyrex®, Chicago Cutlery®, Corningware®, and Snapware® it is bound to be a big hit!”

Corelle® plates and bowls, including Market Street New York™ Corelle®, have been made in Corning, NY since 1970. This new stylish collection is something people haven’t seen from Corelle® before and captures the authenticity of the past, the creativity of the present and inspiration from the forward-looking kitchen trends.

This collection comes in six unique designs, including: Blue Adirondack, West End, Platinum Sunset (round and square) and Gilded Woods (round and square) – all made in the U.S.A. The timeless quality and classic elegance expected from the Corelle® brand.

Known for being lightweight, strong, and thin Corelle® is made of Vitrelle® glass, a material made of three strengthened layers of glass (the top and bottom layer of clear skin glass are laminated to a core center layer).
