Special Olympics New York and Destiny USA team together to help host colorful 5K fun run to spread awareness.
Syracuse, NY Color Me Rad 5K will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Onondaga Lake Parkway. Destiny USA and Special Olympics New York will be partnering to provide parking and transportation for participants in the colorful fun run.
“We are excited that Destiny USA is able to assist Special Olympics New York in going RAD…Color Me Rad!” says Cassandra Rucker, Director of Development for Special Olympics New York- Central Region & Southern Tier.
The race is anticipated to attract 7,000 participant from the Central New York region and beyond. Participants will be able to pick up their race day information packet in the Canyon area at Destiny USA, Thursday May 2nd from 11 am to 7 pm and Friday May 3rd from 11 am to 7 pm. The first wave of runners will start at 9:00 am on May 4th, and the color fun starts flying right as the runners begin and will continue on every 5 minutes thereafter.
