Hammondsport, New York – July 24, 2018 – After months of construction and planning, Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is launching their newest tasting experience on Tuesday, July 31st – The Terrace at 1886. The tasting experience will be a seated tasting experience on the newly constructed rooftop terrace at the historic Chateau Frank overlooking sweeping views of the vineyards and Keuka Lake.
Elaborating on Dr. Konstantin Frank’s 1886 Food & Wine Experience and the new 1962 Reserve Tasting Room, the Terrace at 1886 allows guests to enjoy carefully curated wine and cheese pairs at their own pace. A Wine Educator will lead guests through the history of the winery with educational insight into each wine. Guests may choose from four different wine flights, each $25. Each flight of four wines are paired with selections from Lively Run Dairy based in the Finger Lakes. In the case of inclement weather or based on preference, wine flights may be enjoyed inside of the 1886 Reserve Room.
“Our aim is to delight our customers with stories from four generations of family winery history in a relaxed setting overlooking Keuka Lake. The Finger Lakes is a world class winemaking region and our experiences that we offer should reflect that,” states General Manager and 4th Generation Meaghan Frank.
The Terrace at 1886 will be open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 4:00 PM as the last seating. To visit The Terrace at 1886 guests may purchase a ticket at the Retail Tasting Room at 9749 Middle Road, Hammondsport, New York 14840. For weekend experiences, the 1886 Food & Wine Experience is open for reservations Friday through Sunday 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
