Endres Promoted at Skaneateles Suites, Hotel Introduces Blazing Fast Wi-Fi

Sep 13th, 2013

Skaneateles Suites welcomes fall with the promotion of Suite Dreams staff member Keia Endres, of Auburn, to property manager, and upgraded Wi-Fi in all its bungalows.

In her new role, Endres will have more interaction with guests, and will take on additional management, website and social media responsibilities.

Endres had worked in the hotel industry for nearly a decade before joining Skaneateles Suites in the spring of 2011 as a guest keeper. At Skaneateles Suites, she says, “I love every aspect of what I do. I appreciate the opportunities to learn and am thrilled that my hard work has been recognized.

“It makes my day to meet new people and put a smile on their face,” she adds. “This job is never boring.”

“Keia is friendly and cheerful; she knows how to care for guests and make them feel welcome,” says Terri Chapman, manager of guest services.

Office and reservations manager Julie Hunt describes Endres as “quick and smart, and a pleasure to work with.”

Chapman and Hunt, along with Endres, make up the hotel’s Suite Dreams team. “We communicate well with each other and genuinely enjoy working together—our personalities just mesh,” Endres says. “When guests see how laid back we are, they feel at home.”

“We like each other and love our guests, and it shows,” says Chapman. “We treat them like family.”

It is this spirit that contributed to Skaneateles Suites’ selection by TripAdvisor as a Top 25 Bargain Hotel in the United States in its 2013 Travelers’ Choice Awards, says general manager Curtis Feldmann.

The property—which includes a main house and 12 bungalow suites on Rt. 20 and the Skaneateles Boutique Hotel on Fennell Street—was ranked #7 and cited for being “friendly and charming.”

In 2009, TripAdvisor ranked Skaneateles Suites a Top 10 hotel in New York state.

With the recent hard wiring of hundreds of feet of cable to its bungalows, Skaneateles Suites now provides an upgraded Wi-Fi experience that rivals its other offerings.

“I recently observed four people in one room, all with separate laptops, surfing the net, streaming soccer games and Skyping with family, all at the same time. And that was just one room,” says Feldmann.

"It takes a huge commitment to keep up with changing technology," he says. "Today's hotel room is as much about bandwidth as it is about bedrooms. At Skaneateles Suites, we cater to both business and leisure travelers, and that creates the need for blazing fast Internet access."
