Explore Family Life at Rose Hill Mansion

Jun 19th, 2018

Geneva, N.Y.: Thursdays with the Swans, a tour of Rose Hill Mansion especially for families with young children, will run three Thursdays this summer. On this tour, young visitors will see the house and farm through the eyes of the Swan children who lived there from the 1850s to the 1870s. The family tour will be offered on Thursday, June 28, July 26, and August 30 at 11 a.m.

Meet  Lincoln, Mary, Maggie, Robbie, Otis, and Agnes, the six children of Margaret and Robert Swan. Explore their life at Rose Hill Farm through the family's letters, photographs, and diaries. Find out how they worked, played, and studied. You will also meet the family’s relatives and the many workers that kept the large house and farm in working order.

Admission for the tour is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children 10 to 18. Children 9 and under are free. Family rate for two adults and one or more children is $25. As space is limited, reservations are required for Thursdays with the Swans. They may be made by calling Rose Hill Mansion at 315-789-3848.

The Rose Hill Mansion Gift Shop is open whenever the house is open. The shop carries historically-inspired and locally made items, as well as souvenirs, history books, jewelry and home decorative items.
