Farmers Market Opens June 19th at Casa Larga

Fairport, NY - Casa Larga Vineyards will continue their Farmer's Market this year, adding entertainment, seminars and activities each week. The market takes place on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Called the Farm to Table Marketplace, the market started last year with local food producers selling their fresh produce, and local gourmet products. In 2016, the Marketplace will host New York farms every Sunday through September 11.

Casa Larga is a proud member of Pride of New York and the Farm Bureau of New York State, both programs that support agricultural products that are grown, produced and processed in New York State.

"There are about 36,000 farms in NYS and 32,000 of them are small farms. We are proud to host several of those small farms at our Farm to Table Marketplace", comments Cathy Fabretti, director of business to business wine sales and sponsorships at Casa Larga and organizer of the farmer's market. "As a community business, we support the the are all about buy local, eat local and drink local mantra and that also applies to who we do business with. We pair up with local producers throughout the year at all our events, and our farmer's market allows us to team up with local and New York agricultural producers. Go NY!".

Each Sunday, the farmer's market is planned to include entertainment or an activity:
June 19 - Opening Day & Father's Day Pancake Breakfast
June 26 - The first 25 market customers will receive free reusable shopping bag
July 3 -3rd Annual Hot Dog Challenge to benefit Perinton Food Bank for Fourth of July Weekend
July 10 - Live music, group TBA from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
July 17 - Demonstration by Chef Kimberly Roth of Rochester food truck Stingray Sushifusion
July 24 - The first 25 market customers receive a discount on Casa Larga wine.
July 31 - "Backyard Chickens" Seminar by Shannon Hyde of Olive Egg Farm
August 7 - First 25 Market customers receive free reusable shopping bag
August 14 - Pancake Breakfast
August 21 - Demonstration by Chef Kimberly Roth of Rochester food truck Stingray Sushifusion
August 28 - The first 25 Market customers receive a discount on Casa Larga wine.
September 4 - Enter to win tickets to the Purple Foot Festival on September 18, with market purchase.
September 11 - Live Music Group TBA from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

The Farm to Table Marketplace will start on Sunday, June 19 and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m every Sunday, rain or shine, throughout the summer until September 11 at Casa Larga Vineyards.
