Finger Lakes Trail and the Interloken Trail in the Finger Lakes National Forest are OPEN

Oct 04th, 2013

The Finger Lakes Trail and the Interloken Trail in the Finger Lakes National Forest are OPEN to the public.

Furthermore, the Schuyler County Sheriff informed me that there is NO CLOSURE to the National Forest for recreational use, and that the only closure is that of the District Ranger Station.  The Sheriff is not ticketing parked cars in proper parking areas, nor anyone else using the Finger Lakes Trail system.  As always, all emergencies in the Finger Lakes National Forest should be reported to the Schuyler County Sheriff's office.

Finally, U.S. Forest Service Rangers are NOT asking people to not use the forest trails, and have NOT posted no trespassing signs for the same.
