Highest Ranked Finger Lakes wine in Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Best Buys 2014
PENN YAN, NY- October 28, 2014 – Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s November 2014 issue announced their Top 100 Best Buys of 2014. This list, generated by the editors of the magazine, ranked Fox Run Vineyards 2013 Chardonnay, Doyle Family Vineyards at #41. Considered the ultimate list of the year’s best values, Fox Run was the highest ranked Finger Lakes wine and one of only 30 US wines on the list.
The review of the 2013 Chardonnay first appeared in the September 2014 issue of Wine Enthusiast. It received a score of 89 points and the following review from Contributing Editor Anna Lee Iijima, “The addition of 9% Traminette lends a blossomy flair to fresh apple and tangerine notes in this bright, unoaked Chardonnay. Brisk and revitalizing, with a zesty lime-toned acidity, it’s a satisfying late-summer quaffer at a bargain price.”
