Dundee, NY – Fulkerson Winery is pleased to announce that the 2012 Riesling Iced Wine was awarded 90 Points in the August 2013 issue of Wine and Spirits Magazine. Wines receiving 90 points are considered “exceptional examples of their type”, according to the magazine.
This is the first Riesling Iced Wine that Fulkerson has produced in eleven years. The grapes were estate grown and harvested at 40 brix. The aromas are Riesling-driven and complemented by flavors of dried apricots and honey. The wine ends on a nicely balanced note with a clean, lingering finish. Only 127 cases of this premium wine were produced, and it is available for purchase at the winery or via the winery website: www.fulkersonwinery.com.
The Riesling Iced Wine is one of three dessert wines that Fulkerson Winery offers, the others being Vidal Blanc Iced Wine and Cabernet Franc Ice Wine.
