The Garden Vibes summer concert series will return to the George Eastman Museum this summer. The outdoor concerts will take place on the following Wednesday evenings: June 20, July 18, and August 15.
In an effort to preserve the gardens at the National Historic Landmark estate, the museum will host the concert series on the Vista, located on the east side of the mansion next to the Terrace Garden. Concertgoers may bring a picnic or purchase food on-site from the food trucks parked in the museum’s front drive or from the Eastman Museum Cafe, and BYOB. Concerts are from 6 to 8 p.m.; gates open at 5 p.m.

June 20 Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics
Atlanta’s Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics have made a name for themselves captivating audiences with their stirring live performances. They’re a world-class modern soul revue topped off with the cherry of Velle’s sultry voice, as she deftly toggles between sweetly crooned R&B tunes and expertly belted barn-burning get-downs that can instantly jolt a roomful of wallflowers into a wild dance party.
July 18 Seratones
Shreveport, Louisiana, natives A.J. Haynes, Adam Davis, Jesse Gabriel, and Connor Davis make up the Seratones. The band’s music is certainly their own, due in part to Shreveport’s unique sonic geography: the city sits at a nexus roughly equidistant from Memphis soul, Mississippi Delta blues, and New Orleans jazz, with Texas swing located just over the nearby state border. The Seratones’ sound draws from those touch points and more, ranging from Black Sabbath’s Paranoid to Kind of Blue.
August 15 Fireside Collective
Formed in the mountain city of Asheville, North Carolina, the five-piece string band Fireside Collective weaves bluegrass, funk, rock, and blues influences into a refreshing representation of modern folk music. In recent years, the band was nominated for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s “Momentum Award” for best band and were finalists in the Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition.
Admission rates for each of the 2018 concerts: $10 general admission, $8 museum members, and free to children ages 12 and under with paid adult admission. Tickets are available only at the gate. No refunds; no rain dates.

In addition to the three Garden Vibes concerts, the museum will also be hosting a Hidden Garden Concert on the north lawn of the property this later this summer. Details will be released in the next few months.
