Geneva Historical Society Seeking Donations for Military and Veterans

Apr 05th, 2018

The Geneva Historical Society will continue its donation drive to support our current military service members and veterans through April 27, 2018. The collection drive is a service project in commemoration of this year's 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. In collaboration with Canandaigua’s Blue Star Mothers, the Historical Society is holding a collection drive for active members of the military and veterans. From March 12 to April 27, 2018 we will be collecting the following items:

  • Travel-size personal care products, shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, dental floss, toothbrushes, mouthwash, lip balm, cotton balls, razors, etc. for active members of the military
  • New or gently used clothing for veterans

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Geneva History Museum – 543 South Main Street
  • Geneva Public Library – 244 Main Street
  • Geneva Community Center – 160 Carter Road
  • American Legion Winnek Post 396 – 1115 Lochland Road

We are also collecting spare change for soldiers. Funds collected will be donated to the Canandaigua Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers to support their work. Donations can be sent to or dropped off at the Geneva History Museum, 543 South Main Street.
