GOOSE WATCH WINERY IS AWARDED “BEST ROSÉ” AT THE SOMMELIER CHALLENGE IN SAN DIEGO

Oct 11th, 2018

The Sommelier Challenge is an annual competition held in San Diego that is judged entirely by panels of sommeliers, which represent some of the most esteemed restaurants in the country.  While the panel of judges are from throughout the United States, most are from some of the top restaurants in California.

Goose Watch brought home “Best in Show Rosé Wine” and “Best Rosé” titles along with a gold, platinum and silver medal. 2017 Cabernet Franc Rosé took the “Best in Show Rosé Wine” and “Best Rosé” titles, 94 point rating and the platinum medal!! The gold medal was awarded to their 2017 Pinot Grigio, which also received a 92 point rating. The silver medal was awarded to the 2017 Rosé of Pinot Noir. “Winning the top award for Dry Rosé is a great honor for our winery and is a testament for the quality of Finger Lakes Rosé in general.  The cool Finger Lakes climate and our glacier derived soils produce great fruit driven crisp dry Rosés,” remarked Goose Watch Co-Owner David Peterson.

Goose Watch Winery is owned by the Peterson Family and is located at 5480 Route 89 in Romulus, NY. For more information about Goose wines, awards, and tasting room visit www.GooseWatch.com call 607.403.0029
