Hangar Theatre Presents Kidd Stuff: Live Theatre for Kids Based on Popular Children's Books

Jul 02nd, 2013

Ithaca, NY (7/1/13) - Complementing the 2013 Mainstage season, the Hangar Theatre presents a magical series of live theatre for young audiences based on favorite children's stories. KIDDSTUFF series continues this summer with the charming new play With Two Wings, running July 11-13 at 10am and 12pm. For tickets and information visit HangarTheatre.org or call 607.273.4497.

Inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, the story unfolds in a magical land where people have wings. A young boy named Lyf finds himself grounded ─ living an earthbound existence sheltered by his cautious parents. With the help of friends, Lyf must learn to grow up and spread his wings, knowing that he will always have a safe place to land. Winner of a Kennedy Center Award, this captivating tale sheds a light on bullying and how love and kindness can prevail.

The summer KIDDSTUFF season continues with sparkling performances the jazzy toe-tapping musical A Year with Frog and Toad July 18-20, the beloved children's favorite James and the Giant Peach August 1-3, and The Wiz, a super soul musical version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz August 15-17.
