Holiday Open House Celebrates the 1960s

Nov 30th, 2015

In conjunction with Geneva Night Out on Friday, December 4, the Geneva Historical Society will hold a Holiday Open House from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum. The house will be decorated for the Christmas season and there will be 1960s-style holiday treats and ornament-making activities during the evening.

During the event, the Historical Society will also be conducting a History Harvest to collect material related to Geneva during the 1960s. The Historical Society is seeking items that help tell the story of the community during this turbulent decade. The staff is interested in photographs, documents and objects available for loan or donation. A scanner will be set up that night to make digital copies of materials that can be scanned. For more information about adding to our collection visit our website.

The History Harvest and exhibits will be held at the Geneva History Museum, 543 South Main Street, Geneva, N.Y. Parking is on the street or in the Trinity Episcopal Church lot across the street. For more information call the Geneva Historical Society at 315-789-5151.

Geneva Night Out is a free monthly arts and cultural event in downtown Geneva, NY on the first Friday of every month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information visit.
