Hosmer Winery Featured in the NY Times & Wine Enthusiast

Nov 27th, 2017

OVID, NY, NOVEMBER, 2017 -- Hosmer Winery is pleased to announce that their 2016 Cabernet Franc and 2016 Chardonnay gained national recognition this month.

In the November 9th New York Times article "Cabernet Franc and the Finger Lakes: Made for Each Other" writer, Eric Asimov, highlights the Finger Lakes as one of the top wine regions for Cabernet Franc and Hosmer Winery's 2016 Cabernet Franc was one of his top choices, describing it as "Spicy and saline, with lip-smacking flavors of red fruits and herbs."

Wine Enthusiast published an article on November 6th titled "New York's Small Producers are Bringing Big Value" where they featured 8 New York State wines of great value. Hosmer Winery 2016 Chardonnay is one of the eight and author Anna Lee C. Iijima states "A small proportion of oak fermentation on this intensely primary Chardonnay lends depth and a rounded mouthfeel to its buoyantly fresh peach and tangerine characteristics. Cutting grapefruit and lime acidity refreshes the palate, guiding a long, pristine finish. Enjoy young to maximize its fresh appeal." This 90 point Chardonnay is a steal at just $16 a bottle.
