Just KIDding! - Lively Run Dairy Celebrates the Birth of their Goat Kids
Lively Run Dairy celebrates their season opening with the 2nd annual Just KIDding event. After the success of our first event last year, Lively Run is excited to host another event full of goat kids and cheese! Just KIDding gives people the opportunity to come to the farm to play with the goat kids, bottle feed the kids, hand milk a goat, taste cheese, and learn how Lively Run makes cheese. This event will be celebrated Mother's Day Weekend, May 9-10.
WHAT: Just KIDding!
This is a fun and educational agritourism event for all ages. Activities will include: goat kid cuddling and playing, bottle feeding, cheese tastings, milking a goat, and the "Meet the Cheesemaker" tours, games for children, shopping for moms, and outdoor activities. Food will include grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, and cheesecake made with Lively Run cheese. In addition to the various activities hosted at Lively Run surrounding the birth of our goat kids, Lively Run wants to educate the public on the importance of local farms through this event.

"Meet the Cheesemaker" tours - Saturday: 11am, 2pm, 4pm & Sunday: 2pm, 4pm

WHY:
This event is a great education family event because it gives people who are not normally exposed to farm life the opportunity to experience it first-hand. Experiencing farm life is important for people because they get an understanding of where their food comes from, and an appreciation for farm animals. Additionally, this is a fun day for families and people of all ages to come out and celebrate the spring season with the Lively Run family. A great opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day weekend in a local, educational, and fun way.
All families and friends, as well as press, are welcome to this exciting event!
Prices:
Baby goat cuddling, playing, and bottle feeding are free
Hand Milking a Goat Demonstration is free
Games for children are free
Tours are $7.00/person and include a cheese tasting
Cheese tastings without a tour are $3/person
