Market Street Corning Repaving Project Has Reached Completion

Corning, NY—The Market Street repaving project in Corning's Gaffer District has been completed and the street is now open to vehicular traffic.
 
Thanks to the proactive planning and collaborative effort of many organizations in Corning’s downtown with the City of Corning as the lead, Bothar Construction LLC of Binghamton completed milling and repaving of Market Street in just under six days.
 
Coleen Fabrizi, Executive Director for Corning’s Gaffer District commented, “In partnership with the City of Corning we thank everyone for your patience and patronage during the project. The investment in this vital transportation thoroughfare will provide a return for years to come and be another asset to the streetscape of Corning’s Gaffer District.”
 
Special treatment for mid-block crosswalks meant to enhance visibility and pedestrian safety will be complete once materials arrive.
